Confluence and Culture: 300 Years of San Antonio History

Beginning March 3rd and running through all of 2018, the Witte Museumpresents "Confluence and Culture: 300 Years of San Antonio History," an official Tricentennial exhibit. "Confluence and Culture" is an immersive and multifaceted exhibit presenting the complex and thrilling stories of San Antonio’s history through interactive experiences, a gallery theater, historic artifacts, documents and a photo-real augmented reality story of the Battle of the Alamo.

The McNay Art Museum presents: Purple Rain (1984)

Thursday, Apr. 26, 7-9 PM, McNay Art Museum

In his acting debut, Prince plays a semi-autobiographical character, The Kid, who escapes an abusive home life through music. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Original Score, Purple Rain features hits such as “Let’s Go Crazy”, “Jungle Love”, and “When Doves Cry.” The McNay screening is timed to coincide with the second anniversary of Prince’s death.
