Join the School of Arts & Humanities for the inaugural Trinity Interdisciplinary Conference in the Humanities!

Trinity University will host “Humanities Unbound”, from April 11-14, 2024. This inaugural conference highlights research in the humanities freed from boundaries that separate disciplines or that restrict scholarship to the ivory tower.

The conference will feature discussions that delve deep into topics such as death and dying, democracy in the humanities, art in the community, and academic freedom. As keynote speakers, author Sandra Cisneros will deliver the 2024 Madrid Lecture in Laurie Auditorium on Thursday, April 11, at 7 pm, and political theorist Dr. Danielle Allen will give the 2024 Cameron Lecture on Friday, April 12, at 5 pm in Laurie Auditorium, in a conversation with Dr. Mike Fischer, Janet S. Dicke Professor in Public Humanities.

Events will include student presentations, faculty roundtables, a theatre performance, and panels involving local figures, such as San Antonio First Lady Erika Prosper and San Antonio Express-News columnist Cary Clack.

Join us! Free and open to the public.
