Dr. N. Seth Nelson serves Trinity University as the faculty Collaborative Pianist for private voice students. Since 2007, he primarily plays for voice lessons and studio classes, ensemble rehearsals, as well as recitals, operas, and competitions (especially the annual Rosalind Phillips Vocal Competition, as well as NATS competitions). His work at Trinity has also included playing for the choirs (in rehearsals, concerts, and on tour), and musicals.

A passionate church musician, Nelson is also Organist at the First Baptist Church of San Antonio, where he has served since September 2009. Previously, he has been Organist at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas, and Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Brighton, Michigan, and others. Dr. Nelson, an Associate with the American Guild of Organists, maintains an active concert schedule and has performed in France, Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, and the United States.

N. Seth Nelson has earned a DMA and MM in organ performance at The University of Michigan, under the tutelage of Dr. Marilyn Mason. While there, he was also the first to earn the Certificate in Musicology, writing a thesis on the pipe organ controversy of the Puritans in New England. He earned a BM from the University of Texas at San Antonio as a pupil of Dr. Bess Hieronymus. Seth makes his home in San Antonio with his wife, Becky, a chemist by day and soprano by night.
